Dan Raza

Dan Raza is an English singer and songwriter who performs roots-influenced music with elements of alt-country, americana, folk and country. He begins performing under his own name in late 2006 and is based in East London.

Career and live work

Raza plays across the UK and appears at festivals including The Secret Garden Party, Summer Sundae and Leicester City of Blues. He also opens for Joan Armatrading on her European tour and shares stages with Mary Gauthier, Badly Drawn Boy, Cara Dillon, Peter Case and The Sadies. He tours Austin, Texas with Slaid Cleaves and records several live sessions for BBC radio.

Recording and songs

His limited-edition Dan Raza Sings EP sells out and receives radio play, including on BBC stations. He is also writing and recording for a debut album with his band. His song Every Little Dog responds to the 7 July bombings and is featured on Neil Young’s Living With War website.
