Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip is a British hip-hop duo from Stanford-le-Hope, Essex, active between 2007 and 2014. The group combines electronic beats with sung, spoken and rapped vocals, and is made up of Daniel Stephens, known as Dan Le Sac, and David Peter Meads, known as Scroobius Pip.

Formation and name

The pair first work together in 2006 and later become known as Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip. Dan Le Sac comes from Corringham, while Scroobius Pip comes from neighbouring Stanford-le-Hope. The name Scroobius Pip is an intentional misspelling of the Edward Lear poem The Scroobious Pip.

Releases

The duo sign to Sunday Best and release their debut album, Angles, in 2008. The album reaches number 31 in the UK album chart. Their second album, The Logic of Chance, follows on Sunday Best, and they later release their third album, Repent Replenish Repeat. Their single Thou Shalt Always Kill is their first release, and Stunner appears as a free download and serves as an advance track from the third album.
