DACARA

DACARA are a Manchester-based band active since 2019. Their music sits across alternative metal, alternative rock, melodic metalcore, metal, metalcore and rock, and they are also described as drawing on rock, pop, J-rock and metal.

The group’s lineup includes Emma Shippen, Callum Smith, Jamie Taylor and David Bisson. Their sound and presentation are shaped by influences from videogames, anime and popular culture, and they are formed around a distinctive visual identity developed to stand out in a crowded local scene.
