Da Rico is a home-based producer and songwriter whose work draws on jazz, dub, breakbeat and hip hop, alongside other influences. The project is associated with Minnesota, WI Refix, which is entered into a remix competition at Indaba Music and reaches the top ten by popular vote. It is then one of two entries to receive an honourable mention from the judges, the band Bon Iver.
