Cry
Cry is a Swedish rock band. It is also described as a group associated with punk, and it appears under the same name as several unrelated acts in other genres.
One version of Cry is an ambient and depressive black metal solo project from Hyderabad in southern India, formed by an artist identified as “I”, which releases the demo Eternal Screams Of Silence in 2009 through Beneath The Fog Productions. Another act with the same name is a minimal synth and new wave band from the UK, known for a 7-inch released in 1983 containing the tracks “Looking To The Future” and “Alone”.
The name is also used by a band formed by Gene Clark, with the initials of the members giving the title C-R-Y: Gene Clark, Pat Robinson and John York. That group performs on several occasions and is represented by only one bootleg recording.
Other acts called Cry include a Dutch rapper, a Japanese death metal band and a lo-fi punk band from Brussels, Belgium.
