Cruelty is a post-punk band from Bristol, England. It is one of several acts using the same name, including a British producer, a Polish melodic death metal band, two Brazilian death metal bands, a German thrash metal band, a Belarusian death metal band and an Australian extreme progressive metal band.

The group is also tagged with hardcore, metallic hardcore, metalcore, punk and crust, placing it alongside heavier underground styles as well as post-punk.
