Crucified Barbara is an all-female heavy metal band from Stockholm, Sweden. Formed in 1998, the group is active until 2016 and is associated with hard rock, heavy metal and thrash metal.

Line-up

The band comprises Mia Coldheart on vocals and guitar, Klara Force on guitar and backing vocals, Ida Evileye on bass, and Nicki Wicked on drums and backing vocals.

Style and scene

Crucified Barbara plays a mix of heavy metal, sleaze rock and hard rock. The band develops a reputation within Scandinavia’s rock scene and is described as Sweden’s most successful and well-known all-female band during its career.

Recordings

The group releases two singles in 2005, Losing the Game and Rock N’ Roll Bachelor, before issuing its debut album, In Distortion We Trust, in the same year. A further single, Play Me Hard, follows in 2006. The second album, ’Til Death Do Us Party, appears in 2009, with Jennyfer as its only single; that track features Mats Levén on vocals, and he also partly produces the album. The band then releases The Midnight Chase in 2012 and In the Red in 2014.

Later activity

The band announces its split in 2016 after four studio albums.
