Crowley is a name used by several different acts. The best-documented are a Japanese heavy and speed metal band active in the 1980s, a Swedish death metal band formed by former pre-recording members of Opeth, an instrumental hip-hop producer from England, a Dutch dubstep producer, and a hard rock band based in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Japanese heavy and speed metal band

One Crowley is a disbanded Japanese heavy metal and speed metal group from the 1980s. Its music is heavily influenced by occultism. The act is also associated with Japanese metal, thrash metal and death metal tags.

Swedish death metal band

Another Crowley is a Swedish death metal band formed by the original, pre-Akerfeldt and pre-recording members of Opeth. David Isberg recruits Mikael Akerfeldt as a bassist without the knowledge or consent of the rest of the band, despite Akerfeldt being intended to replace or supplement the existing bass player. As a result, everyone in Opeth except Isberg and Akerfeldt leaves and forms Crowley.
