Courteous Thief is a singer-songwriter from the United Kingdom. The name is also used for a four-piece folk rock band from North Wales made up of Gary Roberts on lead vocals and guitar, Gary Pickard Jones on guitar, Carl Jones on bass guitar and backing vocals, and Alan Matthews on drums and backing vocals.

The group is described as being championed by BBC Radio Wales and as releasing a debut album in February 2011.
