Concrete DJz

Concrete DJz are a Serbian techno act formed in 2003, when the DJs behind the project, already involved in electronic music since around 2000, create the group while resident DJs at Club Akademija. Their work focuses on pushing techno in Serbia, and they also organise parties in Belgrade.

Their sound is described as techno with no fixed boundaries, moving from dark beats to heavier, driving grooves and combining different elements into a forceful, considered style. They begin releasing music with a debut on Betamax Records in 2006, and their tracks soon circulate among DJs including Mark EG, Chris Liberator, Miss Djax, Sven Wittekind, Dylan Drazen, Patrick DSP, Tadox, Marko Nastic, DJ Ogi and Dave the Drummer.

Concrete DJz also appear at a range of events and venues outside Serbia, including EXIT Festival in Serbia, Ovo je Moj Grad MTV Festival in Serbia, Stay Up Forever in London, The Clinic in North Wales, Nightgrooves in Croatia, Proactive in Montenegro, Kommunity in London, Balkanfest in Macedonia, Techno Resistance in Brazil, Renesanz in Bulgaria and Basstation in Italy.

Alongside performing and producing, they run the radio show Beton and the label Armatura Records.
