Concrete Disco

Concrete Disco is a UK electronic group from Bristol. It is a trio led by multi-instrumentalist and chief songwriter Jonny Wharton, who also performs as Jonny Falls Over, with brothers Joe Cusack on keys and laptop and Dom Cusack on drums and samplers. The group is active from 2010 onwards.

Style and sound

The band combines live-band energy with electronic music. Its work moves between punchy electronic indie-pop, raucous mashups and breakbeat-led tracks. Its sound also draws on driving synths and drums, swaggering electro influences and the dense atmospheres associated with Radiohead’s later period.

Live work and performances

Concrete Disco builds its reputation as a live act and has a following around its shows. It supports The Orb on tour and also performs at festivals and venues including Glastonbury Festival, Secret Garden Party, The Borderline and the Roundhouse. The group also supports Deadmau5, Modestep, Plump DJs, Beardyman and others.

Releases

The group releases material throughout 2023 and 2024, and it is preparing a new album for 2025.
