Come On Gang!
Come On Gang! are a Scottish indie group formed at Edinburgh College of Art in spring 2007. The band builds its songs around punk-influenced guitars, driving bass lines, sing-along lyrics and melody-led choruses, and develops a live set based on energy, passion and hooks.
Early history and live work
The group plays its second gig as a sold-out support slot for Angus & Julia Stone at T on the Fringe. It then appears with acts including Glasvegas, White Lies, Florence & The Machine, Noisettes and The Cribs, and tours widely across the UK and overseas.
Recordings and radio
Come On Gang! releases two singles that receive critical attention and is described by Radio Scotland as a band to watch. It also appears in several exclusive BBC sessions and draws praise from radio stations and press in Scotland.
Festivals and wider activity
The band plays SXSW in Texas in March 2009 and later appears at RockNess, Reading, Leeds, Hinterland, The Great Escape and WhiteAir on Brighton Beach. It is also preparing a debut full-length release. Sarah Tanat-Jones, who is in Come On Gang! and Radials, later begins the solo project Synaesthete.
