Colyn is a trance vocalist and electronic music producer associated with trance, tech house, techno and house. His work is built around layered textures, delayed synth patterns and euphoric grooves, with a sound that leans toward nostalgia and atmospheric, emotive production.

Career

He starts producing nine years before the point described in the available information and develops his sound from there. His first major breakthrough comes when Tale of Us begin playing his music regularly. A key early release is Amor, which is signed to the Afterlife label and event concept. The track attracts support from other Afterlife artists including Mind Against, Fideles, Mathame, Vaal and Kevin de Vries, while Joris Voorn also champions it, playing it on Awakenings and his Spectrum Radio Show and describing it as one of his favourite records of the year.

Amor also appears in Spotify playlists by Kölsch and Rüfüs Du Sol, and is later used by Tomorrowland as one of the soundtracks for its official aftermovie of 2019. Another track, Resolve, is first associated with online discussion before becoming the lead track on a four-track EP on Afterlife.
