Colourmusic

Colourmusic is a rock group from Stillwater, United States, active since 2005. The band includes Nicholas Ley and begins in Stillwater, Oklahoma, where it develops music around Sir Isaac Newton’s theories of sound and colour.

Early releases and concept work

The group’s debut EP is self-recorded and self-produced, and it is built around the colour red. After that release, Colourmusic stages a series of themed performances for local audiences, including a fake graduation, a mock prom and a wedding. The band also plans a follow-up release called the Yellow EP.

Radio play and media use

Colourmusic gains airplay on more than 160 college radio stations. It also appears on Billy Zero’s XM Radio show, the Radar Report, which focuses on unsigned bands, and its music is licensed to MTV Network programming.
