Colour of Noise are a classic rock band from Brighton, United Kingdom. Their sound draws on the late 1960s British blues boom and early 1970s stadium rock, and they use vintage equipment and older recording methods because they prefer the way it sounds.

Members

The line-up includes singer Matt Mitchell, who is also known for Furyon; drummer Randy Nixon, who has played with Magic Bullet Band, Jeevas and Straw; Bruce John Dickinson, who has performed with Little Angels and b.l.o.w; Dan Dlectro, who also uses the names Sweedish Dan, the Sweed and Dan The Man; and bass player Silent Ben Daniels.

Songwriting and themes

The band’s songs deal with permanence, holding on to what matters in life, such as people and music, dealing with change, broken dreams and relationships, keeping a sense of self in a difficult world, and escaping through rock and roll.
