Cole Swindell is an American country singer and songwriter from Glennville, Georgia. He works in bro-country, contemporary country and country pop, and is signed to Colden Rainey Music.
Career
Swindell has worked as a hit songwriter, recording artist and headlining performer for more than a decade. He has more than 8 billion career streams and has 13 number one singles as an artist, along with 14 as a songwriter.
He is known for songs that become major radio and sales successes. Twelve of his 13 number one singles are certified Platinum by the RIAA. Among them, three are certified 3x Platinum: “Chillin’ It,” “You Should Be Here” and “She Had Me At Heads Carolina.” Two are certified 2x Platinum: “Ain’t Worth the Whiskey” and “Break Up in the End.”
Albums and singles
His fourth studio album, Stereotype, produces three consecutive Platinum-certified number one singles: “Single Saturday Night,” “Never Say Never,” a duet with Lainey Wilson, and “She Had Me At Heads Carolina,” which spends five weeks at number one and reaches 3x Platinum. The album also leads to major recognition for “She Had Me At Heads Carolina,” which is later issued in a special duet remix with Jo Dee Messina.
His deluxe album Stereotype Broken includes the remix with Messina and also features the 2023 Top 10 single “Drinkaby.” His latest single, “Forever To Me,” appears on the album Spanish Moss and reaches number one.
Awards and recognition
Swindell’s success with “She Had Me At Heads Carolina” brings three ACM Awards for Single of the Year and Song of the Year, counting both as songwriter and artist. The song also wins an iHeart Music Award for Country Song of the Year and receives a nomination for Musical Event of the Year at the 57th CMA Awards.
Rolling Stone describes him as “a proven hit-maker,” and The Tennessean calls him “a hard charging competitor armed with a mastery of the art of the craft, tirelessly looking for ways to improve his work.” He is described as a multi-Platinum award winner.
Tours
Swindell has toured internationally, opening for Cody Johnson’s Leather Deluxe Tour in Australia and New Zealand. He also plans to launch the Happy Hour Sad Tour as a headlining run.
