Cold Cave is an electronic music group from Philadelphia, United States, active since 2007. It is centred on Wesley Eisold, a musician and writer who also works under the name Give Up The Ghost with American Nightmare and has played in Some Girls. The group includes Justin Benoit, Caralee McElroy, Amy Lee, Nils Bue and Alex Garcia-Rivera.

Cold Cave works across darkwave, synthpop, experimental music and post-punk, and its output is associated with the wider revival of darkwave and synthpop. The project develops from Eisold’s wider artistic career and his work in underground music, which shapes its sound and approach.

The group has a substantial recorded catalogue and gains attention through its influence on both underground and broader popular culture. It also performs at major venues and institutions, including The Getty and the Guggenheim, and shares bills with artists such as Sonic Youth and The Jesus and Mary Chain.
