CLOUT! are a band from London and Southend, UK. They begin recording music in the late 2000s and focus primarily on production from September 2010.

Style and approach

Their music draws on 1960s and 1970s psychedelic music, 1980s dancehall, dub and post-punk, and 1990s golden-era hip-hop. Sampling and beat patterns are central to their sound, and they also work with a range of instruments and shifting member roles rather than following a fixed band format. Their output includes material that moves between traditional band performance, 2-step-influenced tracks using samplers, and experimental electronic music influenced by analogue electronics and circuit bending.

Performances and activity

CLOUT! perform at Offset Festival and The Cave Club, and they also host their own hip-hop, soul and dancehall night at Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen called SPEAK YA CLOUT!

Recordings and collaborators

Their debut EP is released through Dirty Bingo Records and includes three original tracks. The release also features remixes by Kwes, Tom Furse of The Horrors, and Mote.
