Clemency

Clemency is a Brazilian Christian death metal band that begins in 1998 and later becomes based in the UK. It plays a thrash-influenced form of death metal and draws on bands such as Morbid Angel and Crimson Thorn. The lyrics are rooted in Christianity.

History and recordings

The band’s first release is the demo Satan’s Funeral, which appears in 1998. This is followed by the album Spiritual Domination in 1999. After a long gap, the band releases Divine Legions at War.

Line-up

The group initially consists of three members: Luis Carlos on vocals and guitar, Aramis on bass guitar and vocals, and Marcelo Lopes on drums. Marcelo Lopes is the only active member.
