City Morgue

City Morgue is a trap metal duo from the United States, made up of ZillaKami and SosMula, both rappers from New York. The group works across trap metal, horrorcore, hip-hop, trap and rap, and describes its sound as a mix of rap, hardcore and punk. It is associated with heavy, droning production and harsh vocal delivery, and its visual style includes grills, bandanas and ripped jeans with patches.

Releases

The duo releases its debut mixtape, City Morgue Vol 1: Hell or High Water, followed shortly beforehand by the EP Be Patient. It later releases City Morgue Vol. 2: As Good as Dead, which features IDK and Denzel Curry, and the TOXIC BOOGALOO mixtape, led by the single and video for “HURTWORLD '99”. Videos also appear for “THE ELECTRIC EXPERIENCE” and “YAKUZA”.

In 2021, City Morgue releases City Morgue Vol 3: Bottom of the Barrel. The duo later issues MY BLOODY AMERICA, and also releases $MOKE UNDER THE WATER, a collaborative EP with Keith Ape.

Solo work and related activity

During 2021, the two members focus largely on solo projects, with SosMula releasing his debut mixtape 13 SONGS 2 DIE 2 and ZillaKami releasing his debut mixtape DOG BOY. City Morgue also announces an EP titled BOMBS IN THE MAIL, but it does not appear.
