Cirith Gorgor

Cirith Gorgor is a Dutch black metal group from Panningen, Netherlands, active since 1993. The band takes its name from J. R. R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings, where Cirith Gorgor is the pass known as the Haunted Pass and the route to Mordor through the Black Gate.

Line-up

Current members are Nimroth on vocals, Marchosias and Waldtyr on guitar, Lord Mystic on bass guitar, and Levithmong on drums and backing vocals. Former members include Gothmog on vocals, Asmoday and Astaroth Daemonum on guitar, Nimroth in an earlier vocals role, Inferno on guitars, Satanael on vocals, and Odium on guitar.

The group is identified with black metal and Dutch black metal.
