ciëlo

ciëlo is an electronic pop project from Mario and Cocó, who are originally from Peru and live in Spain from the early 1990s. Their music uses click and new wave influences and sits closer to the new romantic tradition than to electroclash. The project focuses on songs of love and dance shaped through a nostalgic but modern sound.

Background

Mario and Cocó also work as Silvania, an electronica shoegaze band they front in the 1990s. ciëlo releases the album Paraíso Vacío. Cocó is murdered in Madrid in 2008.
