Cid Inc is the solo project of Henri Hurtig, a producer and DJ born in Finland and raised in Sweden. He begins making music in the early 1990s and works across electronic dance music before settling on house as the main base for his productions. He is also known as a sound engineer and as a mastering and mixing professional, with more than a decade of experience in the studio.

Solo work

Cid Inc’s first release appears in 2008 on Dyami with the Sister EP. That release sets out a tech-house and progressive house direction, and it is followed in the same year by a number of original tracks and remixes. The project develops as a solo outlet for Hurtig’s production work and helps establish his reputation for detailed studio craft.

Mashtronic

In 2004, Hurtig teams up with Matias Bradler to form Mashtronic. The duo’s progressive sound is heard on releases for labels including Alternative Route, Restart, Bedrock, Global Underground and MOS. Mashtronic also produces remixes for artists such as John Digweed, Chable and Bonicci, Sonique, Dave Armstrong, Pole Folder and Mason.

DJ and live performances

Hurtig performs both as a DJ and as a live act, and his projects take him across South America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. He is described as having a broad reputation within electronic dance music for his productions and for work that interests club DJs and dancefloors.

Recognition

He is voted the fifth most popular Scandinavian DJ in 2008.
