Chunk! No, Captain Chunk!
Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! is a French easycore band from Paris, active since 2008. The group’s sound draws on pop punk, metal, indie and hardcore influences, and it is also associated with melodic hardcore, metalcore and post-hardcore.
Line-up
The band is a five-piece made up of Jonathan Donnaes, Bastien Lafaye, Bert Poncet, Éric Poncet and Mathias Rigal.
Recordings and releases
The band signs to Fearless Records, inVogue Records in the US and Ice Grill$ in Japan, and works with The Artery Foundation. Its debut full-length album, Something For Nothing, appears in 2010 and is reissued in 2011. After that release, the band records videos for “In Friends We Trust” and “Captain Blood”.
Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! also records a cover of Ke$ha’s “We R Who We R” for Punk Goes Pop 4, a compilation of pop songs performed by rock and punk acts.
