Chris Holt

Chris Holt is a Dallas-based singer, songwriter and guitarist. He works as a musician in the Midwestern rock scene and fronts and supports a range of bands, while also appearing as a featured guitarist with other Dallas acts.

He is associated with Olospo, and the group is said to rebrand as The Slack, with Holt’s solo album Summer Reverb reissued under that name. The same project also includes new material, among it the track “You Deserve Better,” which appears on the Zac Crain for Mayor benefit CD.

Holt also performs on stage with Sorta and Salim Nourallah and the Noise. He is described as a guitar virtuoso, and his work spans fronting bands, contributing guitar parts and supporting other artists.

He wins the Dallas Observer Music Award for Musician of the Year in 2005 and 2006, and Best Instrumentalist in 2006.
