Chris Cox is an American EDM producer, remixer and DJ who works in house, electronic, dance-pop and tribal house. He is part of the remix duo Thunderpuss and has also worked as Harris & Cox. Cox has worked on more than 600 records and has a long career in dance music production and club DJing.

Career

Cox's first industry-released remix is for Paula Abdul and MC Skat Kat's "Opposites Attract" in 1989, which he cuts manually on an old two-track reel-to-reel. He goes on to remix records for Janet Jackson, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Madonna, Michelle Branch, Stacie Orrico, Hilary Duff, Mylène Farmer, Donna Summer, Kelly Osbourne, Rihanna and Kelly Clarkson.

As part of Thunderpuss, Cox helps achieve 44 Billboard dance chart number ones, with additional chart-topping work under Pusaka and as a solo artist. He receives a Grammy nomination in 2004 for production work with Cher. He also spends four years on XM's BPM 81 with a weekly hour-long mix show called "12 Inches of Cox".

Albums and projects

In 2008, Cox produces Hannah Montana 2: Non-Stop Dance Party, which spends several weeks at number one on the Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums Chart. He continues to produce and remix dance music and travels internationally as a club and festival DJ. He is associated with Provocative Music.
