Chloe Foy is a British singer-songwriter from Manchester whose music sits within folk, folk pop, pop and singer-songwriter styles. She is known for light, distinct vocals and poetic lyrics, and her influences include Joni Mitchell, Turin Brakes, Johnny Flynn and Bon Iver.
Background
Foy begins playing music at the age of four, when her mother notices her natural musical ability and enrols her at Gloucester Academy of Music. There she receives classical training in piano and cello and develops her performance skills. She later becomes interested in folk music, takes up guitar and begins to build her songwriting.
Performances and releases
She performs at larger venues with orchestras, including Birmingham Symphony Hall and Cheltenham Music Festival, and appears at festivals such as Big Bang and Barn on the Farm. She also wins the Live@GloucesterStudio Acoustic Competition and releases her debut EP, I’ve Got A Feeling.
