Chima Anya

Chima Anya is a UK rapper and medical doctor. Born in Bacau, Romania, to a Romanian mother and Nigerian father, he spends his early childhood in Glasgow before later identifying Oxford as the place he represents. He works as a junior doctor in hospitals across the UK while also making music.

Background

Anya develops an interest in hip-hop at an early age despite limited exposure to it, then pursues the genre closely and describes himself as having completed a self-titled PhD in hip-hop. He graduates as a medical doctor from the University of Birmingham at the age of 22.

He is one half of the hip-hop duo GTA. His work sits within hip hop, underground hip hop and rap.
