Chickenhawk is a group from Columbus, United States, described in the input as a jazz ensemble. It is later referred to as a Leeds quartet that changes its name to Hawk Eyes in March 2011.

The name Chickenhawk comes from the book by Robert Mason. Singer Paul explains that the group adopts the name before its plans expand beyond the point originally expected, but later runs into problems securing rights and web domain names connected to the name. To resolve this, the band reverses and alters the name, becoming Hawk Eyes while keeping the line-up and activity the same.

The group is associated with experimental, post-hardcore, sludge and hardcore styles.

At the point described, the group is working on a possible US and European release of Modern Bodies and is recording a new album.
