Chewing on Tinfoil
Chewing on Tinfoil, also known as CHEWIE, is a Dublin punk band formed in 2006. The group comes from Dublin, Ireland and is described as DIY punk. Its lineup includes Anthony “Anto” Clavin on vocals and guitar, Ben Clavin on drums, Niall “Sos” Earle on guitar and vocals, Stu Daly on vocals, bass, harmonica and double bass, and Alan “Westy” West on keyboards and vocals.
Style and releases
The band plays punk rock and is associated with punk, ska punk, ska, pop punk, emo, indie rock and post-hardcore. Its releases include Get Rich or Try Dyin' in 2009, the Shaving EP and a BBC Punk Show live session in 2010, a split 7-inch with Jim Lockey & The Solemn Sun in 2011, and Ska is Dead 7-inch and Marrowbone Lane in 2013.
