Chastity Belt

Chastity Belt is an American indie rock band from Walla Walla, United States. The group forms in 2013 and is active in the present day. Its members are Julia Shapiro, Lydia Lund, Annie Truscott and Gretchen Grimm.

The band studies at Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington, and later is based in Seattle, Washington, and Los Angeles, California. Its songs use humour in addressing feminine stereotypes and customs, and the lyrics challenge gender norms and the idea of femininity as a construct.

Chastity Belt is identified with indie rock, and is also associated with indie pop.
