Charlotte Cornfield

Charlotte Cornfield is a Canadian singer-songwriter from Toronto. She studies jazz drumming in Montreal from 2006 and completes her degree in spring 2010, then works as a drummer for several bands, including Bent By Elephants, Takk, The Keys (Fr) and Panoramic & True (US). In fall 2010, she returns to Toronto and spends four months recording her debut full-length album, Two Horses, which comes out in 2011.

Recording career

Cornfield’s music brings together the lyricism and emotional directness associated with Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan and Neil Young, alongside the energy and hooks of late-1970s New York rock and roll. Her second album, Future Snowbird, is released through Consonant Records in 2016. The Shape of Your Name follows in 2019.
