Chaos Trigger are a progressive metal group from South Wales, UK. The band plays metal that crosses genre boundaries and is also tagged as thrash and death metal. It has been active as a five-piece since its formation, then becomes a four-piece after the loss of Tom Perret.

The change to four members also shifts the writing process. The band moves towards seven-string guitars and five-string bass, which gives its sound a lower and heavier range. Its music is described as becoming more refined and sharper while remaining geared towards constant development.

Chaos Trigger continues to work on new material and presents itself as an act that keeps expanding its sound rather than staying within a fixed style.
