Central Processing Unit

Central Processing Unit is the solo project of Samy Guediche, a psychedelic trance artist originally from Switzerland. Guediche comes from a background in guitar and songwriting, which is supported by jazz studies and work in electronic music production. He later moves to Santa Cruz, near San Francisco, California, where he starts a recording studio with Nicolas Oesch and produces local solo artists and bands as well as his own projects.

Related projects

Before launching Central Processing Unit, Guediche works in Biodegradable, a project he starts in 1999 with Max Peterson, Laurent Delhom and Nicolas Oesch. That project develops a strong local following and leads to international releases. Guediche also performs as DJ Dr Sam, a role linked to his work with sound design and the Biodegradable debut album Phaser.

Central Processing Unit is described as a personal project with a dark, cutting-edge trance sound that draws a strong response on dance floors. Guediche also works in SYNERGY with Absolum and in BIODEGRADABLE with Mekkanika and Sirius Isness.
