Cayucas

Cayucas is a US indie pop band from Santa Monica, California. It begins as a solo project called Oregon Bike Trails before becoming a full group and taking the name Cayucas in 2012. The band is active from 2012 to the present.

Line-up

The group includes Zach Yudin, his twin brother Ben Yudin on bass, Banah Winn on keyboards, Casey Wojtalewicz on drums, and Christian Koons on guitar.

Career

Zach Yudin posts his first song under the Oregon Bike Trails name on 18 January 2011, after he has been a musician for nearly five years. He is associated with Father/Daughter Records early in his career. In 2012 he expands the project into a band and changes the name from Oregon Bike Trails to Cayucas. The band signs to Secretly Canadian in 2012 and releases the single “Swimsuit” soon afterwards.

Cayucas announces a tour with Ra Ra Riot for February 2013, and later announces several European tour dates. In March 2013 the band performs at a Secretly Canadian showcase at South by Southwest.

Albums

The debut full-length album Bigfoot is released by Secretly Canadian in 2013. It is produced by Richard Swift, who is also an artist on the same label.
