Cavorts
Cavorts are a UK four-piece associated with sludge, rock and stoner doom. They emerge with a sound that blends riff-led rock and roll, punk energy and a grooved Southern influence.
Early activity
The band’s first gig places them alongside Skindred, Therapy? and Black Spiders on the Jagermeister Music Tour 2012. Soon after, they are selected to tour the UK with DragonForce at major venues, marking an early period of live activity and visibility.
Style and influences
Their music draws on the high-energy approach of underground rock acts such as The Bronx and Cancer Bats, while also leaning into heavy riffs and a Southern-style groove. The result is described through their own material as loud, forceful rock built for singalong, anthemic impact.
Recordings
Cavorts’ debut EP, Times Told, is recorded and produced by Steve Ellis, whose credits include 3 Stages Of Pain, Errander and Steel Trees. Its first single, Pig of Ballast, is mixed by Jason Sanderson, who has worked with Rolo Tomassi, 65daysofstatic and Ginger Wildheart.
Overview
The band is presented as an early-stage act that quickly gains attention through major support slots and a debut release that sets out their combination of punk force, heavy riffing and groove-based rock.
