Cause 4 concern

Cause 4 Concern, also known as Cause4Concern and C4C, is a UK drum and bass group from Guildford, active since 1999. It works in recording and production and is associated with the drum and bass style, including neurofunk and techstep.

Formation and membership

The group is made up of Optiv, Toby Burrows, Stu C4C and CZA. Earlier information identifies the project as consisting of Ed Holmes, Mark Clements and Stuart Perkins, with Optiv linked to Ed Holmes. It forms in 1999 and continues to operate.

Releases and labels

Cause 4 Concern first works under the alias nCode and signs to Moving Shadow before adopting its main name. It then sets up its own label, Cause 4 Concern Recordings, later listed as C4C Recordings / Cause 4 Concern, to issue its own material. From 1999 onward it produces more than 30 releases, many of them untitled two-track 12-inch vinyl records.
