Catnapp is an electronic live act from Buenos Aires, based in Berlin. The project begins in 2010 and develops a sound that draws on breakbeat, drum and bass, alternative electronic music, pop and rapping. Its songs combine simple, girlish lyrics and four-four rhythm with compressed pads, synths, treble-heavy percussion and references to childhood memories, creating a tense and nostalgic atmosphere.

Releases

Catnapp releases work on German, French, US and Argentine labels, including If The Kids Rec, Good Delivery Rec and So Sound. The discography includes three EPs, three LPs, two remix albums and one single. Named releases include CtodaT, Catterpillar, Bardo, We Got This, No Money Whatever, Make Your Speakers Boom and A Cliff in an Eyeblink. Remix releases include A Cliff in an Eyeblink Remixes and A Cliff in an Eyeblink Remixes Vol II.

Performances and collaborations

Catnapp performs at venues and events including the main stage at Creamfields Buenos Aires, Pacha Buenos Aires, Niceto Club, Bahrein, Jet and Crobar. The project shares bills with Tricky, Mix Master Mike, DJ Koze and Bomba Estéreo.

Collaborations include work with Nocturnal Sunshine, Mercurio, Douster, South Rakkas and Elephant Pixel. A collaboration with Marciano's Crew, Today Tomorrow, appears on the soundtrack of the film Focus.
