Casual Drag

Casual Drag are an Edinburgh garage rock group active since 2019. They are a three-piece with a sound built around snarling vocals, heavy guitar riffs, pounding drums and bass. Their music sits within garage rock, punk and rock and roll, and they are also associated with punk blues.

Live reputation and influences

The band builds a reputation through intense live shows across Scotland, with performances described as packed and frenetic. Their songs use a clattering garage-rock style with raw, edgy energy, twisted riffs and crashing drums.

Releases and airplay

Casual Drag release the singles Bleach Head and Something Good, both of which receive support from BBC Introducing, BBC Radio 6 Music and Amazing Radio. Their debut EP, Revolution Will Eat Itself, appears in 2023 and draws wider attention for capturing the sound of their live performances.
