Castles

Castles is a Washington, DC electronic, indie and experimental project by Jan Zhan and Asa Jeffry L. It is based in the United States and also appears in post-rock and electronic contexts.

The project releases material including Indifference and Rowboat Villainy, which are identified as albums from 2010 and 2011. The name is also used by several unrelated acts, including a musical project by Matthew Sage from 2005 to 2008, a lo-fi songwriting alias of Cassidy “Thunderhorse” David-Weber from Milwaukee, a Welsh alt-psychedelic rock band, a hip-hop and rap project featuring Ryan Rockwell of Mixtapes, and a Belgian rock trio featuring former members of Beecher.
