Carlita

Carlita is an electronic musician and DJ from Istanbul, Turkey. She works as a classical musician and multi-instrumentalist, playing drums, cello, bass and electric guitar, and she uses a mix of live and electronic instruments in her productions.

Her recordings draw on synths, sampled instruments and field recordings gathered from her travels. Her early influences include Turkish psychedelia and rock and roll, and she blends a wide range of sounds and cultural references into electronic music. As a performer, she is known for building sets as a continuous musical journey and for changing the selection and mood from one appearance to the next.
