Cane Hill
Cane Hill is a heavy metal band from New Orleans, United States, formed in 2011. The group is active and is identified with heavy metal and nu metal, with tags also linking it to nu metal, metalcore, alternative metal, nu metalcore and industrial metal.
Line-up
The band consists of vocalist Elijah Witt, guitarist James Barnett, bassist Ryan Henriquez and drummer Devin Clark. The verified line-up also includes Elijah James Barnett and Bemo Barnett.
Recordings and label history
In 2015, Cane Hill signs to Rise Records and releases its self-titled debut EP, Cane Hill. The band’s first full-length album, Smile, follows in 2016. Its second album, Too Far Gone, is released in 2018 through Rise Records. That album includes the singles “Too Far Gone”, “It Follows”, “Lord of Flies” and “10¢”.
After leaving Rise Records in late 2019, the band becomes independent. It then releases the EPs Kill the Sun in 2019 and Krewe de la Mort Vol. 1 in 2021. The group continues work on further volumes of Krewe de la Mort Vol. 1, with the songs “Power of the High” and “Kill Me” appearing from that material. In 2021, it also releases “God Is the Enemy” as the final single from Vol. 1. The first single from Vol. 2, “Blood & Honey”, is issued with a music video on April 30.
Later releases
In 2023, Cane Hill signs with Out of Line Music and releases the single “A Form of Protest”. In 2024, it issues four singles: “The Midnight Sun”, “Ecstasy in Grief”, “Fade” and “Fade (Into You)”. The last of these leads to the band’s third LP, a piece of me i never let you find.
