Camino

Camino refers to two different music acts: a Japanese rock band and a US-based disco DJ and producer. The Japanese band forms in 1999 and remains active through 2009. Its name comes from the Spanish word for “the way,” referring to each member’s path through music and the idea of opening new roads. Over its decade of activity, the group goes through several lineup changes. Its most recent formation includes KIKU on guitar, Hayato on vocals, Taka on bass, Ryosuke on keyboard, and RE-HIT on drums. The band is most recently associated with Tearbridge Records, a sub-label of Avex Group.

The other Camino is Ryan Lucht, a US-based artist from Boston known for high-energy DJ sets that combine disco, house, pop, boogie, funk, and hip hop. He also produces disco-house remixes for other artists, including Funk LeBlanc and Modern Diet, and sometimes performs with live triangle. His debut album, Freshman 15, appears in 2015.
