Cally Gage

Cally Gage is a UK hard dance DJ and producer associated with hard house and hard trance. She wins the Tidy Summer Camp DJ Competition in July 2004 and goes on to become a regular figure in the British hard dance scene.

DJ work and club residencies

Gage is a Frantic resident and plays the main room at major hard dance events in London, including Heaven and The End. She also appears at Brixton Academy Hard House Academy and holds regular slots at Storm, Pam’s House and Slammin’ Vinyl. In addition, she is a resident for Twist, described as a London afterparty, where she plays hard house and NRG. She also receives support from smaller London nights including Summit and Total Mayhem.

Festival and international appearances

Her work takes her to large-scale festivals and events such as Global Gathering, Escape Into The Park, Global Energy and Sanctuary. She also performs abroad, including an Ibiza debut at Es Paradis for Tidy vs Extreme Euphoria, dates for Advanced Tidy at Eden in Ibiza, a booking for HTID In The Sun in Lloret de Mar, and a set on the Monday Bar Cruise for Polysexual, travelling from Stockholm to Estonia.

Style and reputation

Gage is known for mixing hard house and hard trance, with sets that also range into filthy hard house, NRG and even hardcore line-ups. Her profile is built around adaptable programming, strong mixing and a calm stage presence, which helps her play a range of venues, set times and event sizes.

Production and releases

She begins developing a production career through work with Greg Brookman on a remix EP for Masif Records. She also works with BK on a track called “Get With This”, which appears on Riot! and on BK’s album. Other collaborators named in connection with her production work include Tom Parr, Kye Shand, Paul F and the Tidy DJs.

As a mix compiler, her first commercially released mix CD is Frantic 06 in 2006. She then contributes to Hard Dance Revolution in 2007 and to the Frantic 2008 album. She is also associated with the Frantic 2008 mix project alongside other artists.
