callahan

callahan is a group from Ohio that operates from 2006 to the present. The name is used by more than one act, including a Canadian post-hardcore and metalcore band and an instrumental pop project from Peru, but the Ohio group is described as a pop punk band with neon pop punk, emo pop punk and alternative pop rock elements.

Ohio pop punk group

The Ohio callahan group forms in Springfield and releases a short run of records between 2007 and 2009: The Calm Before The Storm, Face The Day and Summer Sampler. It is identified as a pop punk group and also appears under neon pop punk, emo pop punk and alternative pop rock tags.

Other act using the same name

A separate callahan band from Vancouver, Canada, plays post-hardcore and metalcore. That line-up includes Chris Stiles on lead vocals, Alan Stokes on guitar and vocals, Andy Cole on keys and vocals, Craig Nielsen on guitar, Chris Revill on bass and Paul Stokes on drums. It records Don't Say A Word in 2006 and a self-titled release in 2008, and later changes members and name to This Love.

This Canadian group tours widely across Canada, records its debut album in Hamilton, Ontario with producer Julius "Juice" Butty, and works at Metalworks Studios. The bio also lists influences including Misery Signals, Alexisonfire, Savannah, Thrice, Underoath and The Bled.
