Cairobi

Cairobi is a five-piece band based in London, originally known as Vadoinmessico. The group plays psychedelic folk-pop with nostalgic and indie-pop influences, and is described in the input as drawing on rock, psychedelic rock, folk and pop.

Formation and membership

The band is started by Giorgio, who is from Italy, and Salvador, who is from Mexico. They are later joined by banjo player Stefan from Austria, Alessandro, also Italian, and drummer Joe from England. The group is described as coming from several different parts of the world while living in London.

Recording

Cairobi records its debut album with mix engineer Craig Silvey, who is associated in the input with Arcade Fire and Portishead.
