Byfrost
Byfrost is a Norwegian black/thrash metal band from Bergen, active from 2007 to 2015. The group forms in Bergen in 2007 and works within black metal, blackened thrash metal and thrash metal.
Formation and early line-up
The band begins with HeavyHarms and RIPmeister, who start the project in Bergen’s surrounding forests. The initial line-up records the first EP, ...byfrostmetal, in 2008. For that release, MetalMagnum plays bass and HellShells plays drums.
Line-up changes
After the EP, the band parts ways with both MetalMagnum and HellShells. In 2008, Alkolust joins on drums, and the group continues as a trio with HeavyHarms, R.I.Pmeister and Alkolust.
