Buvette

Buvette is the electronic music project of Cédric Streuli from Leysin, Switzerland. The project comes from the Swiss Alps and centres on electronic songs that combine bright and mild textures with rhythmically complex patterns, using Streuli’s voice as part of the arrangement.

Career

Buvette performs as a solo act and is associated with Swiss indie and electronic music. The project is also known for the track “Benzi Blues”.

Performances and collaborations

Buvette has shared bills with Devendra Banhart, Black Dice, Holy Fuck, Atlas Sound and Toro y Moi. Live appearances include New York and the Montreux Jazz Festival.

Label work

Streuli releases music through Rowboat, a label he uses to issue what is presented as distinctive, open-minded Swiss music.
