Butch

Butch is a German techno DJ and producer. He works as a DJ, producer and remixer, and his music moves between techno, minimal, neo-trance and related club styles.

Career and releases

He releases productions on labels including Great Stuff, Craft Music, BluFin and Stil vor Talent. His first production for Craft Music is a remix of Whebba’s Mary’s Army, which gains attention with key DJs and electronic music listeners. He then issues his first original single on Tomcraft’s label, Life is Deadly, which receives support from DJs including Deep Dish, John Acquaviva, Benny Benassi and Oliver Koletzki.

Another early release is On the Line on Great Stuff, with remixes by Oxia, Pig & Dan and Swen Weber. He also works on a remix for another leading minimal-techno producer.

Style

His productions and remixes are known for a polished sound and for combining elements of techno and minimal with wider electronic influences. He is also associated with acid techno, afro house, dance, deep house, deep tech and disco.
