Buffalo Gals is an old-time country string band fronted by Maryland native Kate Lissauer. The group is based in the UK and performs rooted in traditional American music, with an emphasis on fiddle, banjo, percussive step dance and vocal harmonies.

The band’s repertoire and sound draw on Appalachian traditions and on the energy associated with old-time country music. Its first release is Won’t You Come Out Tonight, which presents the group’s style and instrumental approach.
